Yakushima is a wonderful and unique place; a World Heritage Site with beautiful beaches, enchanting forests with 1000 year old Yaku sugi trees, and the largest nesting ground for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle. It is no wonder we are all starting to get really excited about going.

Next Year’s Grade 8 Trip to Beijing

The Grade 8 residential trip next school year will be to the historic city of Beijing, and the planning and bookings for this exciting trip are well underway. The trip will be from the 17th – 21st October when the Grade 6 and 7 students also go on their trips. Grade 7 parents, you will find information about the recommended vaccinations in today’s Grade Level Newsletter.

Parent Volunteers

We are looking for parent volunteers who are willing to help us conduct an inventory of all the books in the classroom library in the middle school. With several hundred books in the library, this is a big task that will take many days to complete, so the more parent helpers we have, the better. Please send me an email if you would like to help us check and track the books that we have in the middle school – we greatly appreciate any help we can get.
