Phil Greene will continue as our Pool Manager. He will be responsible for life guarding, pool maintenance including monitoring water quality, lost property and much more! If you have any questions in relation to lost property from swimming classes, permission slips, please direct these to Phil.
Questions regarding swim classes, curriculum and general enquires should be directed to Malgosia and Jon.
The school nurse will be checking the student’s feet for plantar warts. If your child has a plantar wart they are required to wear a latex sock. These can be purchased from Phil for 500 yen.
Please ensure that your child comes prepared with their swimsuit, swim cap, towel, goggles and a change of underwear on each swimming day. Jewelry is not to be worn in the pool and we advise that it is not worn to school on swimming days to avoid loss. Please also apply sunscreen to your child before school on swimming days.
If the temperature is above 20 degrees Celsius, the children will be swimming, regardless of whether it is wet or not. If your child is unable to swim for any reason, please send either a note with your child or an email to me directly. If any parents are interested in helping by either assisting in the pool or helping children to change before and after their swimming lessons, could you please email Malgosia or Jon.
We look forward to your support and to seeing you around the pool again this season.
