Grade 4 camp Last week the two grade 4 classes went away to Lake Aokiko for a three day camp. The camp was run by the experienced team of Evergreen Outdoor Centre and provided a wide range of fantastic activities for the stu- dents to participate in. All children had the chance to go mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing as well as playing Capture the Flag in the forest. Grade 4 On Monday, The Amazing Race Around Tokyo occurred with the help of many parents. The G4 students were given the task to get to Ginza, Asakasa, Ueno, Shibuya and Azabu-juban any way they chose. Some groups walked, some took the bus, some jumped on the JR trains and some caught the subway. Each group was given 5000yen to cover the costs of their travel for a group of five people, three students and two adults. It was a fabulous spring day for them and everyone had a fantastic time. As a culmination of their learning throughout their time in the PYP, students take part in The Exhibition in Grade 5. Under the transdisciplinary theme, “Sharing The Planet”, students have selected an issue that they are pas- sionate about. Aligning with one or two others, students have formed groups such as Obesity, Racism, Child Soldiers etc. to form an in-depth study into their chosen issue.
