Learn to Speed Stack

Saturday Dec 5 at The Montessori School Tokyo (MST) A great chance to learn a new sport, Speed Stacking. 9-10 am grade K2-3 10-11 am grade 3-6 At MST, Josie will be there to welcome you and join in the fun. Grade three are welcome at either session depending on family needs. A great hour of instruction, games and coordinated learning of the Speed Stacks Pattern. PSA News

We have had a quieter week than usual this week. Of course, we had Pizza Friday – thank you to all the parents who helped to deliver pizza to the students.   Grants update As you know, the PSA raises funds throughout the year through events like Pizza and Popcorn Fridays and last week’s Bake Sale. All of the profits from these activities are donated back to TIS via a Grant Program. The deadline for this year’s grant applications was last Friday (13th Nov). We have had 13 grant applications and the PSA Grants Committee has started the review process. After discussions with the leadership team, the Committee hopes to announce its decisions before the winter break.   Family dance: new deadline The TIS Famous Festive Family Fiesta promises to be a great way to kick off the festive season and is always a really fun evening for the whole family. PYP and MYP Japanese Curriculum workshop Tues 24th November (PYP) and Wed 25th November (MYP) 8:30 – 9:30 a.m Please note these workshops are for non-native speakers and learners of the Japanese language. Dirty Dish Shopping Trip Thursday 3rd December; 8:45 a.m – 12:30 p.m Visit the famous Dirty Dishes shop for some great holiday bargain shopping. The real name of the shop is Okuno Shokai, and it’s a cheap and cheerful warehouse with a huge variety of Japanese china and pottery, all at 40% off marked prices. Thursday December 3rd 8:45 am -12.30 pm. We meet at TIS at 8:45 am. We are taking TIS school bus there so we have a limited number of spaces. The dishes are not dirty, but “dirt cheap”!
